Job 1:20-22

Modern English Version

²⁰Then Job stood up, tore his robe, and shaved his head. He fell to the ground and worshipped. ²¹He said,

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
and naked will I return there.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
blessed be the name of the Lord.”

²²In all this Job did not sin, and he did not accuse God of wrongdoing.
